A vermillion flower spread across the back of the young mans dirty, collarless shirt, spreading quickly like ink into blotting paper. Life giving ink. The redness seeped down through the mans shirt, pooling in the cracks and eddies of the planks below. A drop fell, stunningly macabre, into the rushing waves below; swallowed up in an instant: a mere pinprick of light against the sun. The body twitched slightly, in a disgusting imitation of life. Everlasting Quiet - Pt. 1"Boom! Swore the .20 Cal, sitting politely in the hand of the dark man on the pier. The wind caressed its sharp form; a mother delicately gentling her child, lost in the snow. The air was cold, yet smooth to the touch, and a supple taint of damp spoke of rain to come. A bullet flew out a swan to be swallowed into a mess of blood and flesh. It was swallowed in an instant; driving through the un-effective armour of skin and bone, to meet in unholy matrimony with a beating heart within. A cry: a yell.
